The harvest is a very important moment for all of us.
It’s work but also a celebration of meeting with family and friends.

This is the story of a family in Abruzzo, Central Italy.
It all started in the heart of my childhood, where my grandmother educated me
in the afternoons with her stories of his youth, and how the family was deeply devoted to agricultural work.
But always grateful to be able to produce wine, Olive oil and grain to share
with the family and the community their fabulous traditional products of Abruzzo.
Perhaps this was my awakening, the joy that I saw in her eyes recalling the simplicity,
the authenticity of traditions and this love of the land and so I decided to continue.
The farm was born at Bucchianico (Chieti), where you can find vineyards
of Montepulciano and Trebbiano and Pecorino. In Bucchianico the family
also has a museum of oil and wine in an ancient oil mill from 17th Century
where every year we receive thousands of tourists interested to know
a jewel of pure industrial archaeology.
You can picture the donkeys helping farmers to produce Extra virgin olive oil.
Over the years, thanks to my husband Diego I also fell in love with another area
of Abruzzo: The mountains, wild and rugged, but full of charm with the beauty
of the landscapes and being so well preserved. So here in Navelli (L’Aquila)
we planted a vineyard of Pecorino 700mt, I would say heroic ambition since here
in Abruzzo we produce very little but it resulted superbly.
In Navelli, (one of the most beautiful villages in Italy) we have restored an ancient
historical residence of 1800, an accommodation and place of hospitality to cater
for people and to offer them a relaxing holiday but also active,
where you can taste
wine and oil and participate in cooking classes. We also hold experiences to partake
professionally or as a hobby in Saffron production (Crocus Sativus).
Saffron is the main product of this area, called the plant of Navelli.
